"That’s The Way Love Is" is a single released in 1993 by Bobby Brown from his third studio album Bobby.
Brown began his career in ‘78 with the R&B pop group New Edition until his exit 7 years later in ‘85 where he pursued his own solo career. It wasn’t until the release of his 2nd album Don’t Be Cruel in ‘88 where he really cemented his position as a R&B solo artist with 12 million copies of the album sold worldwide through releasing chart hits like Don’t Be Cruel, My Perogative and Every Little Step.
His next album Bobby released in ’92 came at the final days of the New Jack Swing era but still experienced commercial success selling more than 3 million copies and spawning several hit singles including Humpin’ Around, Get Away and Good Enough to name a few. “That’s The way Love Is” was the 4th single to be released and although it didn’t gain the success like Humpin’ Around, it was still a popular request from the public on the airwaves, helping it peak at No.9 on the US Billboard R&B/Hip Hop Songs chart.
Brown has certainly made his mark on the music industry especially in the late 80s / early 90s. We remember grooving to his hits at the clubs and house parties with That’s The Way Love Is on repeat! So for nostalgia's sake, we're gonna do it again.
