Pony is the debut single released by Ginuwine in 1996 from his 1st album Ginuwine…The Bachelor.
Ginuwine co-wrote this classic with Swing Mob associates Static Major and the one and only Timbaland, who is also the producer on the track. The song peak at no.1 for 2 weeks on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, reached no.6 on the Billboard’s Hot 100, and became the anthem of the year played throughout the airwaves and club scene. The song also experienced a resurgence in popularity after it was featured in the 2012 film Magic Mike and again in 2015 from the sequel Magic Mike XXL.
With 7 albums to his name and countless hits from collaboration with other artists to the likes of P.Diddy, Missy Elliot, Tank and Tyrese to name a few, Pony is definitely on top of the list as one of our favorite track.
