"Flava in Ya Ear" is the debut single by Craig Mack released from his album “Project Funk da World”. The original club mix single was released on 12" vinyl (yeah, remember those!) in July ’94 on the Bad Boy Entertainment record label, packaged with a series of additional remixes.
Although the original single was well received on the Billboard Hot 100 and certified platinum by the RIAA, selling over 1M copies in the US alone, it was the remix of the song that took it to the next level. Featuring new verses from the Notorious B.I.G, LL Cool J, Rampage and Busta Rhymes on the mic, it was considered one of the best 90s remixes to ever hit the airwaves.
The remix music video was directed by Hype Williams and filmed on a soundstage in black-and-white by Isidro Urquia. Other than the featured artists, special guest appearances also came from Das EFX, Mic Geronimo, Irv Gotti and Funkmaster Flex, resulting in adding more “Flava” to the video.
