"Baby Be Mine" is a song released in '93 by American R&B group BLACKstreet on the Soundtrack to Universal Pictures comedy CB4 starring Chris Rock.
Founded in '93 by record producer Chauncey "Black" Hannibal and Teddy "Street" Riley, BLACKstreet came about after the breakup of GUY where Riley came up with the idea to start a new group featuring himself.
Fun fact, originally the group was to be named Stonestreet but was later decided to combine Stonestreet with Chauncey's nickname "Black". As a result, the group became BLACKstreet Featuring Teddy Riley, with an original lineup of Riley, Chauncey Hannibal, Levi Little and Joseph Stonestreet.
The single "Baby Be Mine" was such a huge hit across the airwaves and club scene that it was included to the groups self-titled album in '94 with 3 more hits to follow from the record titled "Booti Call", "Before I Let You Go" and "Joy".
This is definitely one for the Old School R&B fans so kick back and enjoy some BLACKstreet this weekend.
