“You make me Wanna” was the 1st single released by Usher from his second album My Way in '97, and boy what an album that was . This album led the way to the beginning of many more hits to come and cemented Usher as a major artist in the R&B genre. The song not only won him a Billboard Award for Pop Singer of the Year and Best R&B/Soul Singer, Male category at the 1998 Soul Train Music Awards, but also saw him receive a nomination for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance at the 40th Grammy Awards.
